RANSOMVILLE-Carl F.
Hurtgam, 72, of 2727 Ridge
Road, here, died Wednesday
(Jan. 27, 1971) in Newfane
Inter-Community Hospital after
being admitted the day before.
Born Oct. 28, 1898, tie son
of Charles and A u g u s ta
Hurtgam, he was a life-long
resident of this community as
a farmer and lived at the Ridge
Road residence for. 50 years.
He was a. member of the
Niagara County Extension, Service
and a lifetime member of
St. Peter -'.'Lutheran Church of
North Ridge.
Surviving are his widow, the
former Edith • Borget; a
daughter, Mrs'. Henry (Lois)
Batsleer of Marion, N. Yw a
son, Stuart Hurtgam.' of
Ransomville; three sisters, Mrs
William Schultz and M r s.
Charles Rohring, both o f
Wilson, and Mrs. W i l l i am
Hillman of Ransomville; two
brothers, Herbert and Edward
Hurtgam, both of Ransomville,
and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday
at 2 p.m. at the St. Peter
Lutheran Church, North Ridge,
by the Rev. David Musall.
Burial will be in St. Peter
Cemetery.
Friends may,call at the Hardison
Funeral Home, Ransomville,
today from 7. to 9 p.m.
and Friday from 3 to 5 and
7 to 9 p.m.
Memorials to the American
Cancer Society or St. Peter
Lutheran Church Building Fund
would be acceptable as tribute,
the family said.
