Mrs. Kenneth G. Broeker of Pilgrim Road,
Town of Tonawanda, announces the
engagement of her daughter, Mary Ellen, to
Jack Thomas Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Freer Smith Jr. of Harrison Avenue,
Town of Tonawanda. Miss Broeker, daughter
of the late Mr. Broeker, and her fiance are
planning an Aug. 7 wedding in St. Paul's
Church, North Tonawanda.

following a honeymoon
journey to Sarasota, Fla.
Mr. Smith and the former
Miss Mary Ellen Broeker were
wed at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7,
1971, in St. Paul's Evangelical
Lutheran Church, the Rev.
Matthew Pushkar officiated for
the daughter of Mrs. Kenneth 0.
Broeker of Pilgrim Road, Town
of Tonawanda, and the late Mr
Broeker, and the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Edward Freer Smith Jr. of
Harrison Avenue, Town of Tonawanda.
Miss Susan Broeker, sister of
the bride, was maid of honor,
with Miss Beth Broeker,
another sister. Miss Jo Ann
Lambrecht and Miss Diane
Pictor as bridesmaids.
Linda Beth Smith, sister of
the bride, was flower girl.
Edward F. Smith III, brother
of the bridegroom, was best
man. Arthur L. Smith, another
brother, Robert Willet and John
Schull ushered.
A reception was given at the
home of the bridegroom's
parents.
