SMITH - Leo Smith, 69, of 141
7th Ave., North Tonawanda, died
Wednesday (Feb. 14, U66) in De-
Graff Memorial Hospital after a
short illness.
Born in Buffalo, he had resided
in North Tonawanda for more
than 52 years. He retired In 1998
as a foreman at Buffalo Bolt
Co.,, where he had been em-
ployed for 29 years. He was a
member of the Holy Name Soci-
ety of Our Lady of Caestochowa
Church. He is survived by his
wife, Mary (nee JartynskD
Smith; two daughters, Mrs. Michael
(Viola) Pukajlo and Mrs.
Roger (Mary) Broeker, and a
son, Leo S. Smith Jr. (wife.
Helen) all of North Tonawanda;
four grandchildren, Michael and
Mitchell Pukajlo and Roger
Broeker, all of North Tonawanda,
and Sister Diane Marie
Broeker with the Missionary Sisters
of Our Lady of Africa, presently
in Normandy. Mo.; a sister,
Mrs. Stella Gkwinski of
Kenmore, and a brother, Arthur
Smith of Akron, Ohio.
Funeral services will be conducted
at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at
Pawenski Funeral Home, 652 Oliver
St., North Tonawanda, and
at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Csestocbowa
Church. The Rev. Chester
F. Kotkiewicz wul officiate.
Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
