- James M. “Bim” Gibbons, 55, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Mary E. (Gibbons) Seelbinder of Niagara Falls, NY and the late George A. Skrlin, and step-son of the late William Seelbinder.
Bim, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. He attended local schools including Niagara Wheatfield High School. He was employed by Skrlin Coating and Blasting in Niagara Falls as a painter and sandblaster. Bim was passionate about motorcycles and also loved hunting and fishing.
In addition to his mother, James is survived by four brothers and one sister, Kevin (Lynn) Seelbinder of Youngstown, NY, Randy (Tammy) Seelbinder of the Town of Niagara, NY, Deborah (Adolf) Rupnig of Lewiston, NY, Michael Skrlin of Buffalo, NY and Steve (Judy) Skrlin of Ransomville, NY; two step-brothers, Jeff (Cheryl) Seelbinder of Lewiston, NY and Norman (Becky) Seelbinder of Youngstown, NY; one uncle and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Friday August 14th from 5 - 8:30 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY followed by a funeral service at 8:30 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Mattiuzzo officiating.
