G A S P O R T - Roy H.
Brownell, 85, formerly of 2994
Quaker Road, a retired farmer
and carpenter, died this morning.
He was_ in the Hilltop
Nursing Home for the past two
years..
Mr. Brownell was born in the
Town of Hartland, Jan. 16, 1886,
a son of Jesse and Anna
(Mayne) Brownell.
He had owned and operated
a small farm on Quaker Road
for many years. He worked as
a carpenter for the William R.
Eaton Construction Co at the
same time.
Mr. Brownell belonged to the
Hartland United Methodist
Church, and was a member of
the Gasport F&AM.
His wife, Mrs. Lillian
Brownell, and a daughter, Mrs.
Eleanor Torrey, have been
dead several years.
Friends may call at the Hood
Funeral Home, Barker, from 7
to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and from
2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wed-
nesday. Funeral services are
scheduled there at 2 p.m.
Thursday with the Rev. Glenn
Bucher officiating. Burial will
be in Hartland Central
Cemetery.
Contribution may be made to
the Hartland United Methodist
Church.
