ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED: Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Leon Browning of 48 Falconer St., North Tonawanda, announce
the engagement of their daughter, Carol Irene, to
James Joseph Runge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert C.
Runge, Bridgeman Rd., Sanborn. The bride-elect and her
fiance are graduates of North Tonawanda High School. A
June wedding is planned.

The marriage of Miss Carol Irene Browning,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Leon Browning

born was solemnized at 4 p.m. Saturday in North
Presbyterian Church.
TheRev.. Nevin Kendell offici-
ated and J. Gordon Felton was
organist for the ceremony.
Ruffles of lace and nylon ac-
cented the floor - length white
Chantilly lace gown worn by the
bride. Her coiffure bow held a
shoulder-length veil and she car-
ried a cascade of white roses and
stephanotis arranged with lace,
net and ribbons.
Miss Marjorie Browning,, the
bride' sister and maid of honr,
wore a royal blue silk taffeta
street-length dres fashioned with
a scoop neckline. Her headpiece
was a matching taffeta bow and
veil. She carried a bouquet of
yellow roses.
William Coldicott attended the
bridegroom as best man. Ushers
were Ronald Emerson and David
Carlson.
The bride's mother wore a pow-
der blue lace dress with matching
accessories and a white orchid
corsage. The bridegroom's moth-
er chose a rose color dress with
matching accessories and wore a
white orchid.
Guests from Texas, Kentucky,
Rhode Island, Minnesota, Ba-
tavia, Derby,, Angola, Hamburg
and Canada attended the wedding
and the reception in VFW Hall,
North Tonawanda.
After July 5, Mr. and Mrs.
Runge will be at home in 382 Ni-
agara St., North Tonawada.
