Miss Phylis Brumby, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Brumby
of Old Country road, Hicksville,
is being married this afternoon at
4 o'clock to Edward Arthur Richards
of Hicksville, son of Evan
Richards of Pittsburgh, Pa. The
ceremony is being performed at
the Episcopal Church of the Advent,
Westbury, by Rev. Louie
Louisa, rector of Holy Trinity
Episcopal church, Hicksville.
The bride will wear a princesse
gown of white* lace with a court
train, and carry an arm bouquet
of white roses and lilies of the valley.
Her long veil of lace and
tulle illusion will fall from a cap,
with a pompon top and halo of
orange blossoms.
The maid of honor will be Miss
Ruth Abrams of Franklin Square,
whose gown is of pansy blue marquisette,
with matching accessories.
She will wear a tiara and
shoulder veil in a matching,shade,
and carry pink roses and delphinium.
The bridesmaids will be Mrs.
William Brumby A Lancaster, Pa.,
Miss Marjorie Burrows, Westbury;
Miss Joyce Madison, Madison,
N. J., and Mrs.,F. N. Taliferro,
Hicksville. The four attendants
will wear identical gowns
of powder blue marquisette with
matching tiaras and shoulder veils,
and carry pink roses and delphinium.
William Brumby, brother of the
bride, is acting as best man, and
ushers include Leonard Brumby,
Jr., Francis Devers, Louis Kapstatter
and Marshall Brown. Miss
Mary Pastulle of Manhattan, soprano,
will sing at the church prior
to the ceremony, her selections including
"The Lord's Prayer" and
"I Love You Truly." Norman
Hollett will act as organist.
A reception and supper for 125
guests will be held, following the
ceremony, at the home of the
bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs.
Richards plan to make their home
in Hicksville,
