Carrying a cascade bouquet
of white chrysanthemums
mums and carnations, Miss
Janet E Cain became the
bride of Duane Bruning at
2 p.m. Friday, March 19,
1965, at the Emmanuel
Methodist Church. The Rev.
Willia Pettibon officiated
at the double - ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter
of Mrs. Agnes Cain of 6055
Old Niagara Road, Lockport,
and the late Edward
Cain. The bridegroom is the
son of Walter Bruning of 16
freeman Ave., Middleport,
and the late Mrs. Bruning.
As Edward Searle provided
music at the organ, the
bride was given in marriage
by her brother. Jack
Cain. She chose a full-length
gown of white bridal taffeta
fashioned with a scooped
neckline and brief sleeves.
A fitted bodice topped the
bouffant skirt which terminated
in a chapel - length
train and a queen's crown
of seed pearls held her fingertip
veil of silk illusion.
Serving as honor attendant
was Mrs. Clayton Bruning
of the Bulmore Road,
Lockport, sister - in - law
of the bridegroom. She was
attired in a street - length
sheath in pink satin brocade
which she complemented
with a corsage of deep pink
sweetheart roses. A brief
headpiece and veil completed
her ensemble.
Clayton Bruning of Lockport
served as his brother's
best man and William Cain,
brother of the bride, was
usher.
Following a wedding dinner
for the immediate families
and the wedding party,
the couple left for a
wedding trip to New York
City. The reception will be
held at the Eagle's Hall
March 28 from 5 until 9 p.m.
when Rudy Coumont and
his orchestra will furnish
music for dancing. Friends
and relatives are invited to
attend.
The bride is a graduate
of Lockport Senior High
School and is employed by
the Dent and Vail is Corp.
of Lockport. The bridegroom,
a graduate of Royalton
- Hartland C e n t r al
School, served with the U.S.
Army and is employed by
the Ward Brothers Mill Supply
Co. at Lockport.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruning
will make their home at 336
High St., Lockport.
