S t . John's Lutheran
Church at Akron was the
scene of the wedding at 6
p.m. Saturday of Miss Betty
Jane Bruning and Robert
John Say, with white
gladioli and carnations
enhancing the altar.
The Rev. Walter Buenning
officiated at the ceremony
uniting the daughter of Mrs.
Edith Bruning of 218 Wright
Road, Akron, and the late
Lloyd Bruning, and the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Say
of 7394 Hutton Road, Oakfield.
R i c h a r d B r u n i ng
presented his sister in
marriage. She was attired
irf a gown of organza featuring
a bodice of Venice lace,
with mandarin neckline and
Camelot sleeves. A bouffant
A-line skirt, accented with
garlands of lace, fell into
a chapel - length train.
A Camelot cape of Venice
lace held her bouffant veil
of silk illusion and she
carried a cascade of white
roses and stephanotis.
Mrs. Sharon Dawson of
Alabama was matron of
honor. Her floor - length
gown was of apricot chiffon
accented by white ribbon -
lace trim. Miss Geraldine
Borgosz of Akron was
bridesmaid in an identical
ensemble.
Richard Ciurzynski of
Akron attended the groom
as best man and John
Bruning, brother of the
bride, was usher.
The organist was Mrs.
Nancy Bruning, sister - in
- law of the bride and Mrs.
Cheryl Danzer was the
soloist.
Immediately following the
c e r e m o n y , a wedding
reception was held at the
Alabama Fire Hall at South
Alabama.
Upon their return from a
h o n e y m o o n to Virginia
Beach and Washington,
D.C., the newlyweds will
make their home at 5 Fibler
Ave., Akron.
Both are employed at
B t r I p p i t Division of
Houdaille at Akron.
