The marriage of Miss Barbara
Jean Bauer, daughter of Mrs. Dorothy
Bauer of Middleport, and
Paul Robert Davey, son of Mrs.
Mildred Gray and Willys Davey,
of Medina, was solemnized at
11:30 Saturday morning at St.
Mary's Church, Medina. Palms at
each end of the altar formed the
background.
Edward C. Hellert gave his
granddaughter in marriage.
She wore a ballerina - length
gown fashioned with a bodice
of white ChantUly lace and a
ruffled tulle skirt. She carried
a lace fan with an arrangement
of pink and white baby
roses and carnations, a nd
streamers caught with roses.
Miss Joan Faskel of Akron was
maid of honor in a ballerina -
length gown of cotillion blue with
a Chantilly lace bodice and tiered
skirt of tulle. She carried a similar
fan arranged with pink and
yellow roses and carnations.
The groom was attended by
Walter Cutriss of Medina as best
man and ushers were Robert Coon
of Medina and Joseph Shlay of
Gasport.
Mr. and Mrs. Davey will reside
at Rldgeway.
Prior to her marriage the bride
was feted at a kitchen shower given
by Miss Ruby Hellert and Mrs.
Katherine Thlel, variety showers
were given by Mrs. Ruth Bissel,
and Mrs. John Grigg, Mrs. Mabel
Bauer and Mrs. George Hardiman.
Miss Faskel was hostess
at a personal shower.
