Bouquets of white gladioli
and yellow carnations were
the setting for the wedding of
Miss Paula Jean Buddenhagen
and Jeffrey Craig Gilbert yes-
terday.
The Rev. Robert Darling of-
ficiated at the double-ring cer-
emony held in the Vestal
Methodist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bud-
denhagen of 309 Woodlawn
Drive, Vestal, are the parents
of the bride. The bridegroom
is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
John Gilbert of Summit, N. J.
Given in marriage by her fa-
ther, the bride wore, a floor-
length gown of A-line design
fasioned with an Empire bod-
ice enhanced with a scooped
neckline and puffed bell
sleeves. The chiffon over satin
gown featured a detachable
Watteau train at the back.
Her veiling of silk illusion
was held by a cluster of
daisies and she. carried a
cloud bouquet of daisies and
baby's breath.
Mrs. George Weston was
matron of honor. She wore an
Empire gown of green crepe
featuring a scooped neckline
and bell sleeves. She wore
streamers of summer flowers
in her hair and carried a
matching nosegay.
Bridesmaids, attired identi-
cally to that of the honor at-
tendant in yellow gowns, were
Miss Sharon Gilbert, sister of
the bridegroom, and Miss
Marjorie Durand.
Scott Gilbert served as best
man for his brother. Ushering
were Brent Buddenhagen. bro-
ther of the bride, and Dane
Gilbert, brother of the bride-
groom.
Some 150 guests attended a
wedding reception held in the
home of the bride's parents.
The new Mrs. Gilbert was
graduated from Vestal High
Schol and attended State Uni-
versity at Binghamton.
Mr. Gilbert was graduated
from Summit High School and
received a.B.S. degree from
Cornell University.
The couple will live in -Sum-
mit, N. J., after a wedding
trip to the Poconos
