JULIA J. (DIANA) BUFFONE
Julia J. Buffone, 78, died Saturday (March 10, 2001) of surgical complications in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston.
Born Julia Diana in Saranac Lake, she moved to Niagara Falls with her family when she was an infant. She attended Niagara Falls schools.
At the time of her death, she had been employed since 1980 as a sales clerk at DiCamillo's Bakery on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
Mrs. Buffone was a parishioner of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was a member of the Socialite Seniors of the John A. Duke Senior Citizens Center and of Our Lady of Lebanon Senior Citizens Club.
Her husband of almost 44 years, Oswald, known as Ozzie, died Aug. 17, 1980.
Survivors include a son, Alexander of Niagara Falls; a daughter, Donna Buffone Arca of Oceanside; two sisters, Anita Sidoni of Niagara Falls and Carmella Williams of Scranton, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 14th Street and Pine Avenue, after prayers at 9 in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
