HAHN -- Fred J. HAHN, of 536 Delaware St., Tonawanda, died Sunday night, Jan 11, 1953, in Millard Fillmore Hospital Buffalo, after a short illness. A life long resident of Tonawanda, he was a member of Delaware hose Company No. 2, Tonawanda Exempt Firemen's Association, president of Tonawanda Benevolent Firemen's Association the past 32 years, Firemen's Association of New York, Western New York and Erie County Firemen's Association. A member of Niagara River Lodge IOOF No. 527, Former postmast of Tonawanda 1922-34, former supervisor of one term, chairman of the Republican City Committee. He also conducted an automobile agency in Tonawanda for a numbers of years. Employed by Buffalo Steel Company for 27 years until retiring two years ago, past president of the CIO Steel Workers of the company. He was also a member of Salem Evangelical & Reformed Church. He is survived by his wife, Anna, nee WASHLESKE; one daughter, Mrs. Leona DSCHUDEN, one son, Walter C. HAHN of Tonawanda; four grandchildren, Terrie, Timonthy, Frances, Linda NILAND; one brother, Charles HAHN of Brooklyn. Funeral services will be Wednesday in the home of his daughter at 538 Delaware St. Tonawanda, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Walter F. HETZEL will officiate. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. The Old Fellows will have services in the home on Tuesday evening.
