- Joseph A. Olscamp, Sr., 52, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly on October 27th, 2017 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in Lewiston, he is the loving son of John and Julia (Nagelhout) Olscamp.
Joe was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, where he graduated from Trott Vocational High School in 1984. He was currently employed by the City of Niagara Falls Parks Department for the past 30 years. He was an avid ATV rider and always enjoyed having a good time with friends and family. Above all, his greatest pride and joy were his beloved grandchildren, Michael and Olivia.
In addition to his parents, Joseph is survived by his children, Joseph A. (Jessica Hanson) Olscamp, Jr., James (Andrea) Olscamp and Beth (Jared) Grissett; two grandchildren, Michael Olscamp and Olivia Olscamp; fiancé, Amy Griffin; siblings, Vincent (Bonnie) Olscamp, Michael (Linda) Olscamp, Anne (Philip) Cafarella, John (Marie) Olscamp, Frances (Moira) Olscamp and Maria (Chip) Taylor; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 29, from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd, North Tonawanda, NY. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings in Josephs name may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
