Vera T. (nee Morreale) Fabiano, 100, passed away peacefully April 19, 2021, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home. She was born February 28, 1921 in DeLancey, PA to the late Angelo and Josephine (nee Licata) Morreale. Vera was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and Trott Vocational and received her NYS Licensed Practical Nursing License. On June 5, 1943, the former Vera T. Morreale married Arthur B. Fabiano in St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. He passed away in 2002. Vera worked as a LPN at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital for over 20 years retiring in 1986. A very active parishioner at St. Joseph Church, she was a past officer of the St. Joseph Mother Club, Perpetual Purgatory Society and the Madonna Del Soccorso Society. Vera enjoyed traveling with the local Senior Citizens groups, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children; Francis (Sheila) Fabiano of North Tonawanda, NY., Palmajo Simmons of Raleigh, NC, and Dr. Jude (Eileen) Fabiano of Snyder, NY.; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.; two siblings, George (late Margaret) Morreale, Jennie (late Frank) Borgese both of Niagara Falls and many nieces and nephews. Vera was predeceased by her parents, her husband, five siblings, the late Rose Sarkees, late Joseph, the late Mary, late Charles and the late Dr. Samuel (Lydia) Morreale.
The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 3-7 PM at the SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday from Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish, St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue at 10:30 AM. Friends are asked to please assemble at the church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Friends invited. As you prepare to attend, please be mindful that Face Coverings and 6 foot separation are required at all times. Current capacity restrictions may cause delayed entry.
