Alvin Carl Claude of Lockport, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport Site. Mr. Claude was born in Lockport, NY, on September 30, 1917, son of the late Albert and Bertha (Maass) Claude. He has lived in the Lockport area all of his life and had worked at Harrison Radiator Division as a tool designer retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville, a former member and past President of the Rapids Fire Company and he enjoyed his family and loved animals and had owned horses. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Claude in 1978; and by a sister, Ruth Genet. He is survived by his three children, Albert (Carolyn) Claude of Lockport, Cordell Claude of Rochester and Terri (Dan) Scungio of Virginia; four granddaughters, Suann Mathews, Julie Shine, Kristin Ulicky and Sara Scungio. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren. There will be no prior visitation. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Cemetery, Wolcottsville, NY. Memorials to St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the Claude family.
