- Edward L. Paduano, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on December 20, 2021 at Newfane Rehabilitation and Health Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony and Pauline (Simone) Paduano.
Edward served proudly in the United States Army from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1959. On August 12, 1967, he married Barbara L. (Riggi) Paduano at St. Joseph’s Church. Mrs. Paduano predeceased him on May 18, 2003. Edward earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Buffalo State College and later a Master’s in Education from Niagara University. He was employed as an Elementary Education Teacher with the Niagara Falls Board of Education teaching at many schools throughout the district for over 30 years until his retirement in 1996. Edward was an avid reader of history books, and enjoyed traveling and gambling. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
Edward is survived by his children, Gina M. (Richard) Vallari, and Anthony J. Paduano; his brother, Paul Paduano, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was the Brother-in-law of William (Bettye Ann) Riggi and of the late Patricia (Ronald) Bloom. In addition to his wife of 35 years, he was predeceased by his brother, Joseph (Robin) Paduano, and his sister, JoAnn Paduano.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 29 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin on Thursday at 9:15 AM followed by Edward’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
