KILLED IN ACTION-Private
Erwin N. Wegener, 19, of 1041
Grove avenue, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Chester Wegener, has been reported
killed In action with the
United States Army Infantry In
France on September 17. A former-
employe of the New York
Central railroad, Private Wegener
entered- the army in December,
1943, leaving for overseas in July,
1944. He completed his basic
training at Camp Upton. N. Y.,
and later trained at Fort Blandlng,
Fla. He was home on a furlough
In June and then returned
to duty at Fort Meade, Md., and
from there went to England and
then to France. Besides his parents,
We is survived by three brothers,
Private-James F . with a
Service Squadron in China, and
Chester and Claude, at home, and
a sister, Mary Jane, at-home.
