Mrs. Mary O. Baum, wife of Louis
O. Baum, of 2830 Whirlpool street,
died at her home at 7 o'clock this
morning after an illness of some
four months. Mrs. Baum, who was
well known, with a large circle of
friends, had been a resident of this
city since 1902.
Funeral services will be held from
the family residence at 8:30 a. m.
Tuesday and at 9 o'clock from 8t.
Teresa's church. Interment will be
In Riverdale cemetery.
Surviving Mrs. Baum, besides her
husband, are two sons, Louis J.
Baum, of Tonawanda, and Nelson
J. Baum, of Los Angeles, Calif.:
two brothers and a sister, Joseph
BUow, of Rochester, N. Y., Mrs.
Charles Reed, of Grand Mere, Que.,
and Nelson J. Berube, of this city;
two grandsons, Louis and Donald
Baum, of Tonawanda, and two
nieces, Doris and Alma Bplcer, of
Mexico. N. Y.
Mrs. Baum was born in Peterboro,
Ont., in 1884, the daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Bilow.
She came to this city with her parents
when they removed their residence
here in 1902. Her education
was secured in local schools. She
was a devoted member of St. Teresa's
church and was active in the
work of Chapter 600, Protected
Home Circle.
For several winters Mrs. Baum
had spent the colder months in
California endeavoring to build up
her strength. Her son who lives
in California is expected to arrive
here late today by airplane.
