M. J. (sic) Haseley Dies; Was Farm Operator
SANBORN-Martin E. Haseley, 58, of 2744 Saunders Settlement Road, died Sunday (April 21, 1968) in Meyer Memorial Hospital, Buffalo, after a long illness.
Born in the Town of Wheatfield, he was the son of Edward W. and Hulda Walck Haseley and operated the family farm at the Saunders Settlement Road address where he lived all his life. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road, was former member of the senior choir, a member of the Farm Bureau Extension Service and director and agent of the Cooperative Fire Insurance Co. of Bergholtz. Mr. Haseley was a charter member, assistant chief and past chief of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Company and had recently received a life membership into the company. Surviving are his wife, the former Josephine Blank; his mother Mrs. Hulda Haseley. Sanborn; a brother. Chester of Sanborn; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Kroening of Sanborn, and Mrs. Gerhard DeVantier and Mrs. Warren Camann, both of Niagara Falls. A1so surviving are several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home in Sanborn from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. tonight and Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore by Rev. Gerald E. Scheck. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Members of the Sanborn Fire Company will meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 8 p.m. The family said that contributions to the tuberculosis association or any Lutheran Church or charitable organizations will be acceptable as tributes.

Son of Mrs. Hulda Haseley of Sanborn. N.Y. Brother of Chester Haseley and Mrs. Edward (Helen) Kroening at Sanborn, N. Y., Mrs. Gerhard (Martha) DeVantier and Mrs. Warren (June) Camann of Niagara Falls, N.Y. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore. N.Y., with the Rev. Jerauld (sic) E. Scheck officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Members of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Company will meet in a body in the funeral home Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. It is the families wish that contributions be made to The Tuberculosis Association or any Lutheran Church or Charitable organization
