DENNIS R. MALANEY, SR. Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and BrotherDennis R. Malaney, Sr., 70, of 72nd Street, entered into peaceful rest on Thursday, July 10, 2008 in Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, Erie County, NY, following a brief illness. Born on June 15, 1938 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY he was the son of the late William and Olive (Brydges) Malaney. On September 12, 1959 he married the former Delores Moreland.Mr. Malaney was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY and attended local schools. For twenty years, Dennis worked as a crane operator for Union Carbide. Following Union Carbide closing, he went on to own and operate his janitorial business, Ds Janitorial. Dennis enjoyed NASCAR and fishing.In addition to his beloved wife, Delores, of forty-eight years, Mr. Malaney is also survived by three children: Dennis R. Malaney, Jr. of Florida, Sherry L. Arnone of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY and Richard (Candy) Malaney of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY; nine grandchildren: Rachelle, Dennis III, Stephen, Tyler, Erin, Camryn, Casandra, Richard Jr., and Nathan and two great-grandchildren: Maddox and Mason. Dennis is also survived by one brother, William (Joan) Malaney of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY; one sister, Shirley (Fran) Rinehart of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY; two half- brothers: Kevin and Joe Malaney; three step-brothers and sisters: Karen (Ross) Salambene, Darryl (Linda) Bomberry, and Sara LaBarbera all of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Jerry Malaney; one half- brother, Mike Malaney; one step- sister, Cheryl (Dave of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY) Oucette and one step- brother, Greg Bomberry.Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, LASALLE PARK CHAPEL, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY (297-9007) where a funeral service will be held Monday, July 14th at 11:00 a.m. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Lewiston, Niagara County, NY.
