- David “Duce” F. Ducette, 68, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30th, 2015, surrounded by his loving family at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Reginald and Patricia (Corbett) Ducette.
Duce, as David was known by his family and friends, attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle High School in Niagara Falls. On May 18, 2001, he married Gladys “Nita” (Ammons) Ducette at St. Mary of the Cataract Church in Niagara Falls. David was employed by Gray Line in Niagara Falls, as a licensed tour guide for the past 20 years. Duce enjoyed fishing, sports, listening to music and his dog, Gizzy. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his daughter Michelle (Jack) Kepp of Niagara Falls, NY; two step-children, Trisha (Anthony) King and Rachel (Robert) Carson, both of Niagara Falls, NY; six grandchildren, Tyler John, Ashley Kepp, Julia Kepp, Mya Carson, Juanita Carson and David Carson; one brother Gerald (Maureen) Ducette, III of Florida, one nephew Mark Ducette, and his special cousin Msgr. John Ducette. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as many other cousins. David was predeceased by his first wife, Cheryl (Bomberry) Ducette.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will begin on Wednesday, June 3rd at 11:15 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon in St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
