  Niagara Gazette - 4/14/1954 Mrs. Alvina Berndt Dies NORTH TONAWANDA, April 14-Mrs.. Alvina, Berndt, 67., of 376 .Thompson ,St. died yesterday at her home. Mrs. Berndt was born in the Town of Wheatfield and was the widow of Frank Bernat. Surviving are two sons, Herbert and Norman Berndt, both of this city; two brothers, Fred Pokelwaldt, Medina, and Herman PokelwaIdt,this city; a sister, Mrs. Anna Heineman, Clarence. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Wattengell Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl E Berges officiating and interment in Friedens Cemetery
