- Francis Harrigan, 89 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on June 14, 2018 at Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda, NY. Born January 22, 1929 in Highland Falls, NY he was the son of the late James and Gertrude (Swain) Harrigan. He was married to the late Louise (Abbo) Harrigan of Niagara Falls who predeceased him on August 3, 2001.
Francis was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. He worked at the International Paper Mill and later for Laborers Local No. 91 for several years until his retirement. Francis will be remembered for his willingness to help anyone at any time.
Francis is survived by his two children Daniel Harrigan of Niagara Falls and Denise (Anthony) Casilio of Wheatfield, three grandchildren Heather (Marc) Magliarditi, Tyler (Kelsey) Casilio both of Las Vegas, NV and Daniel (Kenya) Harrigan of Tonawanda; five great-grandchildren Arianna Magliarditi, Easton Magliarditi, Beckam Magliarditi, Aiden Harrigan and Logan Harrigan, a sister Maryann (James) Ivey and brother Edward Harrigan of Niagara Falls as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by his siblings, James Harrigan, Eleanor (late Alex) Ticket, Patricia (late Francis) Eames, George Harrigan, Michael (late Gloria) Harrigan, Thomas Harrigan, David (late Dolores) Harrigan, Janet (Fred) Metro and Robert (Gerri) Harrigan.
Mr. Harrigan’s family wish to thank the nurses and staff of Northgate Healthcare Facility for the loving, compassionate care given to Francis during his stay. We greatly appreciate it and will never forget. Thank you.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4-8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Rd. Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Tuesday June 19th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo’s Church 2748 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Oishei Children’s Hospital 818 Ellicott Street Buffalo, NY 14203.
