- TONAWANDA, Aug. 19. (AP)-Doris Ziehm, two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grover Ziehm. died at a hospital today from the effects of gasoline which she drank at her home last night.
The child, her parents said, left the dinner table last night and went out in the yard to play. A short time later the parents heard a scream and upon investigation found the child lying in the yard with a small gasoline can in her hand. At the hospital it was said the child died from an internal hemorrhage and convulsions brought on by the gasoline she had drunk.
Besides the parents, a sister, Pearl, and a brother, Chester, survive. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and half an hour later at St. Jacob's Church, Bergholz. The Rev. Otto Bruss will conduct the services and burial will be in St. Jacob's cemetery
