Longtime farmer, 68, was active in church
SANBORN-Leonard W. Walck, 68, of Walmore Road, died Thursday (Dec. 1, 1994) in Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, after a short illness.
He was born in Lewiston on July 27, 1926, the son of Rudolf C. and Ernestine (Haseley) Walck. He was a graduate of LaSalle Senior High School.
He was in a partnership with his nephew, Wayne R. Walck, in the Falcon Acres Farm in Sanborn, where he was a dairy and vegetable farmer for 50 years.
The Walck family has had a stall for more than 50 years at the Niagara Falls City Market, where he had worked since he was a boy.
He was member of the Town of Lewiston Planning Board.
Mr. Walck was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Sanborn, where he was a past treasurer of its Sunday school. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau, the Niagara County Milk Producers Cooperative, and a past member of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. Band.
Mr. Walck is survived by his wife of 22 years, Alice (Retzlaff) Walck of Sanborn; three nephews; a niece; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was the brother of the late Rudolf A. Walck and Edna Craft.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home, LaSalle Park Chapel, 2215 Military Road. The Ronald L. Majeroni will conduct services at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Sanborn.
Memorials may be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Entrance Fund.

Leonard W. Walck, 68, of Walmore Road, operator of a dairy and vegetable farm, died Thursday (Dec. 1, 1994) in Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, after a brief illness.
A native of Lewiston, Walck was a graduate of LaSalle High School in Niagara Falls.
He was in partnership with his nephew, Wayne R. Walck, in the Falcon Acres Farm. The Walck family has had a stall in the Niagara Falls City Market for more than 50 years, and Leonard Walck worked there since he was a boy.
He was a member of the Town of Lewiston Planning Board, the Farm Bureau and the Niagara County Milk Producers Cooperative and a former member of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Company Band.
Walck was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he was a former Sunday school treasurer.
Surviving is his wife, Alice Retzlaff Walck.
Services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday in St. Peter's Church, 6168 Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery
