A former Akron dairy farmer,
Alfred Brauen, 72, of Wolcottsville
Road, died of a heart attack
Tuesday (Aug. 11, 1964)
while visiting friends in Clarence
Center.
Mr. Brauen celebrated his
72nd birthday just two days
prior to his death on Sunday
Aug. 9. He was born in Clarence
Center and for many years
operated a dairy farm in Akron.
Until his retirement in
1955, he was a carpenter. He
was married to the late Lillian
Hasely Brauen who died in 1940.
Friends may call at the Shepard
Bros. Funeral Residence,
1090 Main St., Clarence, where
services will be held Friday at
2 p.m. with the Rev. Pastor
Carl Olin of Zion Lutheran
Church officiating. Burial will
be in Clarence Center Cemetery.
The family will be present at
the funeral home from 2 to 5
and from 7 to 10 p.m. today.

of the late Lillian (nee Haseley);
father of Raymond, Robert, Richard,
Mrs. Carl (Agnes) Hlnkley and Ralph;
brother of John, Arnold, Fred, Walter,
Benjamin and the late Edwin, Ernest
and Frieda; also survived by 15 grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends received at Shepard Bros. Funeral
Residence, 10690 Main St., Clarence,
N.Y., where funeral services will
be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Interment in Clarence Center Cemetery.
Family present 2-5 and 7-10 p.m.
