WOLF John W., age 61, of the Town of Wheatfield, suddenly Friday (October 22, 1982). Mr. Wolf was a veteran of World War II, a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and president of the Men's Club. Mr. Wolf was also a member of the Lutheran Laymen's League and the American Legion, Wheatfield Post No. 1451. Mr. Wolf was an employee of Dresser Industries, General Abrasives Division. He is survived by his wife, Ardis (nee Haseley); a son, Gary, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Denis (Barbara) Savard of Riverside, Calif.; one granddaughter, Kristy; three brothers, Arthur E. (Beatrice) Wolf of Glen Burnie, Md.; Edwin (Alice) Wolf of Sanborn, and Kenneth (Marilyn) Wolf of Garden Grove, Calif.; three sisters, Alma Campbell of Belfast, N. Y., Mrs. Seymour (Lena) Lander of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Francis (Louise) Bish of Tonawanda; several nieces and nephews; brother of the late Benjamin Wolf. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Road, North Tonawanda, Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. from St. John's Lutheran Church, the Rev. Ronald Oravec will officiate. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. The American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451 will meet at the funeral home Sunday at 8:15 p.m.
