SANBORN YOUTH BADLY INJURED; STRUCK BY LIMB
Injured Thursday Evening and Is Still Unconscious at Falls Hospital.
SANBORN. Jan. 26.-Edwin Haseley, 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Haseley of the Tuscarora road, south of this village, is confined to the Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Niagara Falls. with a fractured skull as the result of a coon hunting episode. The accident happened Thursday night and the youth is still unconscious and reported to be in very serious condition.
Haseley was walking through a grove near his home on Thursday evening with some other boys when they saw what they believed to be a coon up one of the trees. In an attempt to dislodge the animal a heavy limb was broken from the tree which fell, striking Haseley on the head. He was taken to the hospital where he was found to be suffering from a severe fracture.

YOUTH DIES OF SKULL FRACTURE FROM BEING STRUCK BY TREE LIMB
Edwin Haseley, 18, Victim of Unusual Hunting Accident; Funeral Services Thursday
Edwin Haseley, 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Antone (sic) Haseley, Tuscarora road, south (sic) of Sanborn, died at 8:15 o'clock last evening in Mount St. Mary's hospital of a skull fracture. The youth was admitted to the hospital Thursday, victim of an unusual hunting accident.
With some other young men Haseley was walking through a grove near his home when one of the boys saw what he believed was a coon in a tree. In an attempt to dislodge the animal a heavy limb was broken off and it fell, striking Haseley on the head and fracturing his skull. He was taken to the hospital unconscious and did not regain consciousness before his death.
The youth is survived by his parents; a brother, Harvey; three sisters, Frances, Hilda and Irma. Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 o'clock in the Walmore Lutheran church. Burial will be in the Walmore Lutheran cemetery.

Haseley Funeral Held
SANBORN, Feb. 2-The funeral of Edwin Haseley, 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Antone (sic) Haseley of the Tuscarora Road who died, on Monday evening, at Mount St. Mary's Hospital at Niagara Falls of a skull fracture, which was held from the family home Wednesday at two o'clock and 2:30 at Walmore church was one of the largest ever held in this section. The bearers were: Philip Wittcop, Clarence Wittcop, Hubert Bentel (sic), Norman Pockelwaldt, Albert Pfhul (sic) and E. Deidtreich (sic). The Rev. Edward Granbau (sic) officiated. Burial was at Walmore Lutheran cemetery.
