SANBORN - Herbert A. Jagow, 64, of 6206 Ward Road was pronounced dead on arrival Monday (July 2, 1979) at Mount St. Mary's Hospital after being stricken with an apparent heart attack. He was a lifelong resident of Sanborn, and a life member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore. He was a former member of the church council, serving as elder and trustee. He operated a farm at Ward and Lockport roads until 1960, and was employed by Beecher Brothers prior to becoming a custodian at Niagara-Wheatfield Central School in 1972. He was an exempt member of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. and a former member of the Sanborn Fire Co. Band; He is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Haseley) Jagow; three sons, James Jagow of Atlanta, Ga., Herbert A. Jagow Jr. of Yuma, Ariz., and Roger Jagow of Wauwatosa, Wis.; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Pfuhl of this city; and two granddaughters. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Church, Walmore, with the Rev. Wayne F. Jagow officiating. Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. The Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. will hold memorial services at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Evangelical Church, the family said.
