Robert E. Darlak, age 65, of Wheatfield, entered into rest peacefully June 13, 2009, with his family at his side, after a brief illness. Born February 13, 1944, son of the late Edward and Josephine Darlak. A U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and based in Camron Bay, he was employed at Unipunch Products, Buffalo, over 30 years and S and R Instruments for 10 years. Robert loved hunting and fishing at Honeye Lake, loved the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bills, NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren and family.Survived by his wife of 40 years, Martha L. (Grawe) Darlak; father of Claudette (Andre) Lemieux, Jeanette (Joel) Prohaska and Glen (Jody) Darlak. Papa of Dalton, Hunter and Lynnea Lemieux, Cole and Cloe Darlak; sister, Lorraine Richau and grand-dog, Ursula Prohaska. Predeceased by a sister, JoAnn Sikora. Visitation will be on Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield. Services will be conducted on Wednesday at 4:00 PM in St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Falls Blvd. and Ward Rd. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.
