- ZOBRIST, MINNIE A.
A resident of Baton Rouge for a year, she died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at her home. She was 85, having just celebrated her birthday with family and friends. She was born and lived in western New York until moving to Las Vegas in the 1970s. She was a faithful Christian and an active member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church. Memorial services at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church at 1 P.M. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Hawley Wolfe. Survived by two sons, Michael J. Zobrist of Baton Rouge, and his wife, Karen, and William P. Zobrist of New York, and his wife, Cheryl; four grandchildren, Dr. Stephen Zobrist of Baton Rouge, and his wife, Robbie, Lisa Zobrist of Virginia, Kimberly Zobrist of California and Jason Zobrist of New York; a sister, Kelly Durkee of New York; and a brother, the Rev. Bernard Walck of Florida. Preceded in death by her husband, John Zobrist; and a sister, Agnes Donner Turner.
