- 12/27/2004 BERGHOLZ - Mildred E. DeVantier, a homemaker and a former high school cafeteria worker, died Saturday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness. She was 86.
Born in the Town of Wheatfield, she was employed at Niagara-Wheatfield High School as a cafeteria worker for 18 years.
A lifelong member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bergholz, she was a member of the Women of the Church.
Mrs. DeVantier was also a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens, the Wheatfield Garden Club and the Women's Auxiliary of Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion.
Her husband of 53 years, Martin J., died in 1995.
Survivors include two sons, Dale and David, both of Niagara Falls; a brother, Allan DeVantier of Wheatfield; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
