- Paul L. Mueller, a Wheatfield native, died July 25 at his home in St. Petersburg, Fla., after a brief illness. He was 69.
A longtime Niagara Falls resident, Mr. Mueller worked as a chemical operator for the Du Pont plant in Niagara Falls for 36 years.
He was a member of Lodge 346, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, in Niagara Falls, where he served as exalted ruler for three years.
Mr. Mueller and his wife fulfilled their lifelong goal of retiring to Florida in 1997.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, the former Barbara J. Ohneth; three daughters, Lorrie J. Siffin of Clarendon, Pa., Elaine A. Bright of Flemington, NJ, and Amy M. of Pinellas Park, Fla.; a son, Timothy P. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three brothers, Gordon of Scott City, MO., Leslie of Mesa, AZ., and Rollin of Lakeland, Fla.; five sisters, Madalyn Holt of Belleview, Fla., Shirley Sexsmith of Palmyra, Pa., Nancy Lange of Grove City, Pa., and Velma Achenbach and Judy Janowsky, both of North Tonawanda; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services will be Saturday in Hope Lutheran Church, St. Petersburg.
