MAERTEN-Irwin W. Maerten, 79, of North Tonawanda, Sunday (December 8, 1985) at Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Maerten was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Old Falls Blvd., and its Friendship Club, the Sanbornites Senior Citizens and North Tonawanda Couples Club.
He is survived by his wife, Alice (nee Gombert) Maerten; two sons, Duane Maerten of Maryland and David Maerten of North Tonawanda; two daughters, Mrs. James (Janet) Lorrett of the Town of Tonawanda and Mrs. David (Marian) Klumpp of Norman, Okla.; nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a sister, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Vukovic of the Town of Tonawanda.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., North Tonawanda today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Rev. Richard E. Pape will officiate. Interment in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church
