LOCKPORT. Oct. 22-Stricken
unexpectedly, Mrs. Bernice S. Williams,
wife of Ferdinand B. Williams,
died Saturday night at her
home, 29 Spruce street.
Mrs. Williams was born at Jeddo,
daughter of John and Catherine
Fuery Searles, but lived most of her
life in Lockport. She was a director
and treasurer of Locust Haven and
a former member of the Zonta club.
She had been a leader in the Western
circle of the Baptist church. Her
husband is an officer of the Williams
Brothers company.
Besides Mr. Williams, she leaves
two daughters, Mrs. Robert H. Ber-
gen, Williamsville, and Miss Imo-
gene R. Williams, Buffalo; two sis-
ters, Mrs. John K. Fellows and Mrs.
Douglas B. Whitney, Lockport. and
two brothers, Stanley E. and Lester
E. Searles, all of Lockport.
Funeral services will be held to
morrow at 2:30 p.m. at the home in
Spruce street. Burial will be in Cold
Springs cemetery.
