- BERGHOLTZ, Jan. 17.- Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Ferchen, 61, a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield who died on Thursday at Mt. St. Mary's hospital, Niagara Falls, will be conducted tomorrow. Her body will lie in state at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Eustice, Rohr street, until 2 p.m. tomorrow when-funeral service will be conducted at the home followed by 2:15 p:m. services at the St. James Lutheran church. "The Rev. Otto Brass will officiate at the services. Mrs. Ferchen made her home with her daughter; Mrs. Eustice, since the death of her late husband, Valerius Ferchen, Sr., in.March. 1951. She was a long-time member of the St. James church and was active in the Ladies' Aid society in that church. Besides her daughter,-Mrs. Eustice, Mrs. Ferchen is survived by two sons, Valerius Ferchen, Jr.. and Robert Ferchen, both of Bergholz; five sisters, Miss Louise Voelker, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Bert Schultz and Mrs. Albert Grobengieser, both of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Reinhard Wienke, here, and Miss Esther Voelker, Los Angeles; three brothers, John Voelker, Buffalo, Charles Voelker, Niagara Falls, and Henry Voelker, here. She is also survived by four grandchildren here. Burial will be in St. James cemetery.
