NIAGARA FALLS — Margo L. Nye (Wiegand), age 72, of Bergholz, was called to her heavenly home, peacefully, on September 5, 2010, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on June 5, 1938 to the late Adolph and Hazel (Voelker) Wiegand. A graduate of Niagara Falls High School, Class of 1956, she was employed over 35 years at Moore Business Forms, retiring as a supervisor. Margo was a lifelong member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Bergholz and a member of the Red Hat Society, Moore Girls Club and the Wheatfield Senior Citizens. Hobbies and interests included traveling, dancing, Country music and her Sunday road trips with the girls. Margo will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Predeceased by her husband, Max J. Nye on May 21, 2000. They were united in marriage April 12, 1958; and son, Brian Nye on October 18, 2001.
Survivors include two children, Brent (Judy) Nye of Niagara Falls, NY and Becky (Billy) Silvis, Jr. of Siera Vista, AZ; daughter-in-law, Arlene Nye of Niagara Falls; two brothers, John (Sandy) Wiegand of Bergholz and Todd (Diane) Wiegand of Sanborn; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday 10:00 AM-12 noon. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jeff Milsten on Thursday at 1:00 PM in St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Rohr Street, in Bergholz. Interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
