Funeral services for Lewis N. Heuer, 75, of Washington Street, who owned and operated the former Heuer's Market on Third Street in Niagara Falls, will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Luther Street. Interment will in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery.
He died Friday (Jan. 21, 1994) in Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness.
Heuer and his brother, Elmer, operated the Niagara Falls store from 1934 to 1984. The business was founded by their father, David C. Heuer, in 1905.
Born in Wheatfield, he was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, where he served as an elder and held many church offices including school board member.
He also was a member of the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Company for more than 50 years.
In addition to his brother, survivors include his wife, Eunice; a daughter, Kathleen Potter; and a granddaughter.
The Bergholz Volunteer Fire Company will hold a memorial service at 7 P.M. Monday in DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road
