- Barbara J. (nee Kisiel) Proefrock, of Town of Wheatfield, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, August 20, 2009 in her 69th year, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Barbara was employed with the Niagara-Wheatfield School District for over twenty years. She was an avid N.Y. Yankees fan. Beloved wife of 33 years of Donald E. Proefrock; dearest mother of Kristen (Christopher) Banach of Ransomville, Pamela (Rene') Boudreau of Niagara Falls, NY and James (Melanie) Proefrock of Tonawanda; proud and loving grandmother of Gregory Boudreau and Connor Proefrock; dear sister of Michael Kisiel, Patricia Watson, both of North Tonawanda and the late Virginia Pundt; also survived by her mother-in-law, Edna Proefrock of North Tonawanda; nieces, nephews and cousins.The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on SATURDAY, August 22nd from 6-9 PM and SUNDAY, August 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, (692-0271). Relatives and friends are asked to gather at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on MONDAY, August 24th at 9:30 AM. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery.
