- Dorothy (Schultz) Ford of Williamsville, NY died on October 2, 2018 shortly before her 89th birthday. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she graduated from Niagara Falls High School and SUNY Buffalo State, where she studied to be a teacher.
She lived most of her life in Lewiston, NY where she was an elementary school teacher for 25 years in the Lewiston Porter School System. She loved children and in turn was beloved by her students and their parents. In 1986, she was named Teacher of the Year for the district.
She loved her family above all else and in turn was deeply loved and adored. She was a faithful woman and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Williamsville.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald Ford, her children, Lynn Ford-Somma (Joseph), Daniel Ford (Carolyn) and Timothy Ford (Rebecca), five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on October 13th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 68 Eagle St., Williamsville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
