Former Niagara Resident Passes
TOWN OF NIAGARA, Sept. 13-Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Helena Williams Retzlaff, in Los Angeles, Calif., on Thursday, September 7. She is survived by one daughter, Miss Lydia Williams; one son, Emil Williams, of Los Angeles; one brother, Edward H. Williams, of Lockport, and one sister, Mrs. Louise Williams Kandt, also of Lockport. She was a sister of the late August William J. Williams and the late William Williams, of the Niagara Fall (sic), boulevard, Town of Niagara.
Mrs. Retzlaff was 75 years old and was well known in Niagara county where she had resided for many years. She was a daughter of the late John Williams and Mary Williams. The latter died about four years ago at the age of 96 years.
Mrs. Louise Kandt and her daughter Mrs. Erna Kandt Hanning, of Lockport, visited the deceased last winter in California and returned home early this spring, They both left for California last Friday and will attend the funeral of Mrs. Kandt's sister, Mrs. Retzlaff.
