BROECKER Elizabeth (nee Mellenthine) Broecker, 78, Sunday (Oct. 17, 1976) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Broecker was lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Womens League of St. John Lutheran Church, a member of the Town of Wheatfield Senior Citizens, the Ladies Auxiliary of Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion and a member of the World War I Widows of Niagara Falls.
Wife of the late Henry F. Broecker, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Emmet (Marion) Killian of the Town of Wheatfield; a granddaughter, Mrs. Arthur (Ann) North of Rochester; two great-grandsons, James and Matthew North; two brothers, Walter J. Williams of the Town of Wheatfield and Edmund Williams of the Town of Pendleton and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in St. John Lutheran Church Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Rolf A. Buchmann will officiate. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
