ELEANOR V. TOMM
Mrs. Eleanor V. Tomm, 62. of 5841 Buffalo St., Sanborn, died Sunday (Sept. 6. 1970) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness. A native of North Tonawanda Mrs Tomm moved to Pekin 21 years ago and operated with her brother, the late Robert Schimschack, Schimschack's Restaurant in Pekin for several years. Her brother died last May 28. In the early 1950's, Mrs. Tomm went to Florida where she operated a restaurant and hotel on Singer's Island, Riviera Beach, Fla., for five years. She returned to Pekin-Sanborn in 1958 and had been a cook at the Bergholz Fire Hall restaurant since. She entered the hospital four weeks ago. Mrs. Tomm is survived by her husband, Charles (Whitey) Tomm, Sanborn; a brother, Al Schimschack, Glendora, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Joseph(Grace) Hassan, Hinsdale, N.Y. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda. with the Rev. Matthew A. Pushkar officiating Friends may call at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 pm Burial will be at Elmlawn Cemetery, Tonawanda. The family said that memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
