Mrs. Grabau Dies in Ohio
WALMORE-Mrs. Frances M. Grabau, 75, died Sunday, March 10, 1957) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Duwe, East Palestine, OH. She was a native of Bergholtz, the daughter of the late John and Henrietta Broeker Goerss.
Mrs. Grabau was married on Sept. 29, 1904, to the Rev. Edward A. Graubau (sic), pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church here for 42 years, retiring in 1948, after which the couple resided in North Tonawanda. They moved to their daughter's home in Ohio in 1952.
Mrs. Grabau was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, East Palestine. In addition to her husband and daughter, surviving are two sisters, the Misses Charlotte and Sophie Goerss, and four brothers, Anton, Rufus. Hubert Goerss. all of North Tonawanda, and Rudolph Goerss, Lockport, two grandsons and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Pike Funeral Home, Sanborn, Wednesday evening. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Church, by the Rev. Martin Pempeit. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
