- June E. Wolf (Schmidt), age 88, of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior, on Saturday, March 28, 2009. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY on May 27, 1920 to the late Otto and Ella (Stenzel) Schmidt. A life-long resident of the town, she was a life long member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Wheatfield. June was employed as a bus driver for many years, in the Niagara Wheatfield School District. She was a member of the Bergholz Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family.Survivors include two children, Ronald (Carlene) Wolf and Beverly (Varoujan) Sakalian, both of Wheatfield; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. June was predeceased by her husband, Clarence W. Wolf on April 23, 1998. They were united in marriage December 10, 1938; a son, Gerald Wolf on October 11, 2008; three brothers, Lloyd, Marvin and Burton Schmidt; and two sisters, Lucille Martin and Delores Boddy.Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Ronald Oravec on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Falls Blvd. and Ward Road. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
