- Willard F. Zastrow Town of Cambria, NY - Willard F. Zastrow, 76, of the Town of Cambria, died Saturday, October 6, 2007 in InterCommunity Memorial Hospital, Newfane, after a lengthy illness. Born March 10, 1931 in the Town of Wheatfield to the late Charles and Arlene (Jacobs) Zastrow. On May 20, 1950, he was married to Shirley (Wilkins) Zastrow, and together raised their four children. Willard worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator, first with the Town of Cambria Highway Dept., and then worked for 22 years for the Niagara County Highway Dept., retiring in 1987. He also owned and. operated his own, Hubcap Collecting Business, where he was known as the "Hubcap King". Willard was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge, an exempt member of the Cambria Volunteer Fire County, a member of the Niagara County Fireman's Assoc., where he was involved with the ticket sales. He was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, camping, flea markets and yard sales. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Douglas W. Zastrow, Donald F. Zastrow, Darlene A. Zastrow and Duane W. Zastrow, all of the Town of Cambria, two sisters, Rose Kroening of Pekin, Niagara County, NY, Doris Tudor of Orange County, NY; a brother, LeRoy Zastrow of the Town of Cambria; and four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Chester and Robert Zastrow. Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville, Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be held Wednesday (October 10th) at 11:00 AM from the funeral home with Vicar Matt Sorenson officiating. Burial in Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the Cambria Volunteer Fire Co.
