W. H. Grawe Dies at 70 In Westfield
NORTH TONAWANDA - Walter H. Grawe, 70, of 3629 Klemer Road, Town of Wheatfield, died unexpectedly Saturday (Sept. 28, 1963) while visiting at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Alden (June) Golem, at Westfield. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, he conducted a monument business for 40 years and was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Adam Fire Co., the Tonawandas Post 264, American Legion, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Violet Cumrow Grawe; two sons, Willard W. and Lawrence W. Grawe; two daughters, Mrs. Golem and Mrs. George (Gloria) Jackson; a brother, Benjamin Grawe, and two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Ruth) Pieper and and Mrs. Charles (Elsie) Neumann, all of North Tonawanda. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fretthold Funeral Home, with Rev. Enno A. Schmoock officiating. Burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery.
