PINK CARNATIONS predominated in the decora-
tions at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholtz, Satur-
day (Feb 8, 1958) for the marriage of Miss Caroll Ann
Fuerch and Thomas H Hughes Jr. The Rev. Robert F,
Jaeger performed the ceremony in candlelit chancel.
Three branch candelabra, tied with a pink- ribbon and
maidenhair fern, marked the pews. Miss Dolores Jagow
was organist.
The br|de who is the daughter of Mr; and Mrs. Ronald
W. Fuerch, Bergholtz, was given in marriage by her.,
father, to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H, Hughes Sr.,
90th St.
A FLOOR-LENGTH GOWN of lace and tulle was
the choice of the bride. It was styled with a sabrina neckline,
fitted bodice and full scalloped lace skirt over tiered
tulle ruffles. A rratching crown held her veil. of tulle
illusion. She carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations.
Miss Arlene F. Doerr,. cousin of the bride, was maid
of honor. She favored a candy pink velveteen and chiffon
gown fashioned with a scoop neckline, shirred cummerbund
and fully gathered chiffon skirt. A feathered pillbox held
her circular veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of white
and pink carnations.
MISS PATRICA STAHL and Miss Karen DeVan-
tier, bridesmaids, were attired similarly to the honor attendant.
They carried colonial bouquets of white and pink
carnations. Miss Janelle K. Fuerch, sister of the bride,
was junior bridesmaid.
Donald Royer was best man and William Fuerch,
brother of the bride artd Robert Sterling, seated the guests.
FOR A RECEPTION at the Bergholtz Fire Hall after
the ceremony, the mother of the bride chose a princess-style
blue lace dress and matching feathered hat. The mother of
the bridegroom favpred a gray and black taffeta princess
style dress. Each wore a corsage of pink and white carnations.
After a honeymoon to New York City, Mr. and Mrs.
Hughes will make their future home in Sy St., Bergholtz.
