Mrs. Caroline Bartel, 68 years old, died yesterday afternoon at her home on the River road, town of Wheatfield, after a lingering illness. She was born in Germany coming to the town of Wheatfield when two years old and residing there the rest of her life. She is survived by a husband, August Bartel; three daughters, Miss Carrie Bartel, Wheatfield; Mrs. L. C. Juneman, Buffalo, and Mrs. W. D. Mulholland, Niagara Falls; two sons, William J. Wruck, Buffalo, and Fred A. Wruck, Niagara Falls; twelve grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. John Schuler, Pendleton, and Mrs. Silas Allared, North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the residence and an hour later at the Holy Ghost church, Bergholz, Rev. Kuckenbeck officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Ghost cemetery.
